Cargo Transit becomes DBE Certified – April 2011

 

On April 19, 2011 Cargo Transit, Inc. obtained certification as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). This is a federal program mandated on the state level by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Most states take affirmative action to ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises have the maximum practical opportunity to get DOT contracts for multiple services. The DOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program is intended to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of DOT assisted contracts in the department’s highway, transit and airport assistance programs.
